Way back in the late 50's, the Aurora company's design group developed some "Little Buzz Cars" to work on H.O. scale track. In developing these cars, they studied real racing cars and duplicated them into highly detailed miniature models and these were known as "Aurora Factory Experimentals". Thus the name "AFX"Rather than have the Long name of "Aurora Model Motoring" they were looking for a shorter distinctive name and after some deliberation decided on the trademark AFX which is the abbreviation of Aurora Factory Experimentals, giving us the name by which this great hobby is still known today, "Aurora AFX". In developing these cars, special emphasis was made on speed, performance, detail and collectability, making these cars winners with hobby enthusiasts worldwide.Over the years, "Aurora AFX" has kept at the leading edge of development, using teh latest technology available. The range now consists of over 75 highly detailed cars, and 18 different types of track, which enables up to 10 lanes of exciting racing |
